Case Study

Electrical Substation Security Upgrade – LPS 1175 SR2 Steel Doors

United Kingdom

Overview

We were appointed to supply and install LPS 1175 SR2 certified steel security door sets as part of an electrical substation security upgrade.

Security Solution

The project formed part of a wider programme to protect critical infrastructure by replacing ageing access doors with independently certified security doors designed to withstand forced entry and provide reliable long-term performance in exposed environments.

The doors incorporated heavy-duty galvanised steel construction, durable powder-coated finishes, high-security locking systems, corrosion-resistant components and weatherproof sealing.

Survey & Installation

Each opening was surveyed individually before manufacture. Experienced installation engineers worked within operational substation environments, following strict site procedures while installing frames, door leaves, security hardware and weather seals before final quality assurance.

Project Outcome

The upgrade significantly enhanced physical security and durability while reducing long-term maintenance requirements, supporting the continued resilience of critical electrical infrastructure.
